"Are you a doctor?"
Thursday, June 2, 2011 | posted by TheRandomPianist After my duty at the hospital, my mom and dad decided to go to Dillard's and find stuff for my cousins. I was on scrubs of course and they didn't bring pants (since I always have extra shirt on my bag) so I have to wear it. Wearing a scrubs here means you are working in a hospital or any health care facility, but awhile ago is different. A guy from a shoe department asked me this, "Are you a doctor?" And in my thoughts I said this, "Do I look like one?" .. He didn't hesitate to ask me directly about it. Well I answered him "No, but I work in a hospital." and he said "So what hospital?" and I stated "*insert hospital name here*" and he was like "Ohh ok.. so what area are you in?" and I said, "I work at the *insert department name here*". Then, end of conversation..
Simple questions like this is like "a happy pill" for me because others think that you're a doctor or somewhat in a higher health care position is just overwhelming. Some also think I'm a PT and others think I'm a Nurse so wow, that is a good start for me cause they don't think of me as a student nurse or something younger cause others think (when I don't use scrubs) would say I look 14 y/o. LOL. So yeah, that's all for now. :) I'm just so happy. HHAHA |
